The Wand

If you were to ask people about their least favorite part of a dental appointment, I'd bet that "THE SHOT" would make it into the top three for most individuals. However, skipping the anesthetic component of the appointment would likely be the number one fear for everyone. So, how can we make the injection process less daunting?

Over the past 15 years, I have been utilizing "The Wand" for all of my injections. (No, we have not yet created a pill.) This computer-aided system allows me to administer the anesthetic in a very gentle and slow manner. Unlike the traditional hypodermic syringe, I hold a lightweight pen-like handpiece that offers precise placement, while a precision pumping system connected via a small tube gently, gradually, and seamlessly administers the anesthetic. Yes, it is still necessary to get the anesthetic beneath the skin, but I've had countless patients inquire, "Did you just give me a shot?" and I appreciate that question.

While it takes longer to administer, I've never had a patient request a faster injection. For additional information about The Wand, please visit http://www.thewand.com.

Intraoral Camera

The Intraoral Camera provides a comprehensive view of your oral cavity, bringing your words to life through visual representation.

Unlike the traditional mouth mirror, the specialized handheld wand of the camera captures detailed images of your teeth and gums, enabling a clarity that was previously unattainable. Even the tiniest cracks, which may lead to tooth breakage, become evident with a single click of a button.

Furthermore, having a visual record of the condition of your mouth aids in making dental insurance claims as the captured images serve as visual proof.

Nitrous Oxide (N2O)

When administered properly, the mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen inhalation proves to be a secure and efficacious method for coping with pain and uneasiness in dental procedures.

3D X-Ray (CPCT)

3D X-ray (CPCT) the X-rays normally used to detect cavities offer only a two-dimensional view. CBCT allows us to view things from all angles. The AI technology helps spot hidden problems and plan treatments such as implants and surgery with greater predictability.
